Preliminaries

An Online Printing System is a prepress process that bridges the gap between online digital content and commercial print production. This process allows a print house, client or graphic designer to order printing directly from the website. Additionally, it allows for the creation, edit, and approval of computer-based online templates during the prepress phase.

This solution makes the ordering of printing and graphics more efficient and convenient by streamlining the process, eliminating redundancies and cutting overhead costs, passing the savings on to you, the customer.

2. Upload Design: using this option, you can upload your own image. All images must be in PDF format.

3. Browse Design: use this to select hundreds of pre-loaded templates. Work on them or customize them through our design studio.

The type of paper used for difference purposes is expressed in weight. In the US system it is Pound (lb).

The paper used for writing/printing (letterheads and such stationery) is generally between 20 to 70 lb and is called paper, book, or text stock. Anything heavier than this is considered card stock, i.e. the paper used for business cards, postcards, greeting cards, etc. Card stocks range are rated in points (pt) from 10pt to 22pt. The higher the number, the thicker the stock.

For reference, most brochures and flyers are printed on 80-100lb paper stock, unless a heavier (more expensive) card stock is selected. Most business cards are printed on 14pt stock. Most postcards are printed on 12-16pt card stock. Posters would normally be printed on a 100lb paper stock.

Coated papers are available in two finishes – glossy (shiny and smooth) and matt (flat and lusterless). Coated glossy papers reflect the light evenly so they are suitable for almost all types of printing jobs. Glossy papers have a good ink holdout, which is important for creating sharp, bright images.

UV coating is a super high gloss coating added after the printing and makes the paper or card stock very smooth and shiny, as well as thicker and more luxurious to the touch. This is usually an extra cost option.

Printing

All printed products require CMYK files and inks.

300 dpi (dots per inch) is the required resolution of the output PDF file.

We use state-of-the-art offset printing for most orders over 250 pieces, which provides the highest quality of print material for both text and images. Smaller, or shorter run orders that require faster turnaround use state-of-the-art commercial laser printers, and large format jobs utilize state-of-the-art commercial inkjet printers. We are constantly updating to the best equipment available on the market.
